I often use the moon as a reference or to describe space or size.
Like for instance, when Nolan asks me from the back of the car for a drink of the iced tea in the front of the car, I will politely respond, "you know my arms don't stretch to the moon, right?"
Or when Nevaly gets ready for bed, and we are getting jammies on after brushing her teeth, I will say as I tickle her armpits and poke her round little belly, "Did you eat the moon for dinner?!"
Or when I am rinsing soap out of their hair in the bath, I will say, "look up at the moon" so the soapy water doesn't trickle down their face.

So anyways, I had my 23 week OB appointment Friday.
I must confess, as I jumped up on the scale and watched as she slid the 100 pound weight back after the 49 pound weight just wasn't enough... I purposely exhaled any remaining air in my lungs to get rid of any and all of the extra pounds that you know, air can hold. She slid the 150 over. Then the single weight. It stopped at two pounds and it balanced. Perfectly.
152?!
What?!!!!!
"Okay. Okay. Calm down." I thought.
Martha.
You are wearing a thin layer of black stretch pants today.
And, TWO socks.
And, a red {short sleeved but thick} cotton garment.
And... and a bra!
And of course underwear!
{I took off my boots, or else the scale probably would have been at 154 easy}
That means in "naked" numbers I probably would have weighed 150.
No.
149.
Okay fine.
No.
149.
Okay fine.
150.
Does anyone know what that means?!
That means, simply, that I have gained ten pounds in a matter of four weeks.
Whoa, momma.
Better slow the horse.
Welp, here's the recent stats...
Weeks: 23
Gender: BOY!
Aversions: None really.
Cravings: Apparently. And more than I was aware of!! We make an angel food cake almost weekly. Candy, which is about the only thing I have in this house that isn't Organic anymore. Fruit. Chips and salsa while watching the Bachelor... lets just say this momma gets three square meals a day, and then some.
Complaints: Spider vein occasional pain. Being exhausted. Which is making me really a tad moody.
Heartburn: After nearly anything with tomatoes. Or a vinegar base.
Feeling Baby Move: Yes! At night usually when I finally sit for an extended period of time. Or lying down always makes him dance around in there. And he went crazy at our date night on Friday. We went to see Oz which was very loud, and I think he heard every bit of it, because he moved for 45 minutes straight at least.
Sleeping at night: Yes! When Nadie lets me... she has been better about going 6-7 hours at a time now. But just the other night night decided she needed a 3am snack.
Weight: 150 {I am going with the naked number}
Gain: 20 pounds so far
